Order Management

When an order is received via a webshop, or when a sale is received by phone or email, it must be handled.

When an order comes from the webshop, it is created with products, and decisions regarding payment method and delivery have already been made.

When an order comes via phone or email, it must be created with a customer and products. Additionally, the payment method and shipping must be decided.

If you, as a modern e-commerce B2B company, accept orders both online and via other channels, you should have centralized order management. This can, for example, be done via an ERP system or via Indexed PIM.

Through this system, a salesperson can create orders directly in the system and send them to the customer.

By having a centralized system, orders will not be overlooked and all can be handled.

Order Management via API

Systems can communicate with each other via an integration, also called an API. This API can be used to transfer and create orders in the relevant systems. An order created on the webshop by a customer can be transferred to the order management system via the API.

Via the same API, orders can be forwarded to the accounting system, such as E-conomic, via integration where they can be booked.
