Save resources in the company
When automating and increasing efficiency, it is a good exercise to start by calculating the savings before you begin.
Look at why a PIM system is desired in the company:
- Is it due to too many errors in product data?
- Is the cost of employees who work with data every day high?
- Are you expanding to more markets such that the workload is becoming too great?
By collecting product data in one system instead of having it fragmented in several webshop systems, you can, for example, easily save 0.5-1 employee who works with product data.
Errors in product data
When there are errors in data that must be corrected in several systems, it can be enormously time-consuming to correct the same data in many systems such as webshops and ERP. If prices are incorrect, it can quickly become an expensive affair until the error is corrected. By introducing a PIM system, you can centralize data handling and correct errors faster.
Employee expenses
An employee is usually the highest expense in a company. The cost of implementing a PIM system is therefore only a fraction of this expense, and this investment will quickly pay for itself.
Expansion to new markets
Once you have implemented a PIM platform in the company, it is much faster to enter new markets. Via Google Translate or similar services, product descriptions can be translated in no time. Therefore, Time To Market is much lower with a PIM system.
Via integration to webshops, the next market is quickly ready.
