The media library is a real admin module, not just a picker. Users can browse media with pagination, sort by name, type, size, created time, or external ID, and search by name or external ID from the main media index.
Uploads are handled through a dedicated action that supports normal file uploads and ZIP archives. ZIP files are extracted server-side, filtered by allowed media extensions, uploaded into the company media directory, and turned into media records automatically.
Media items can be renamed, enriched with media-specific custom fields, searched through AJAX endpoints for selector modals, and reused throughout the product editor, custom field forms, and product gallery relationships.
