The automation layer is app-aware. The workflow action catalog scans installed apps for supported workflow actions by entity, and scheduled action configuration does the same for scheduleable jobs such as integration imports and exports.

When a workflow points at an app action, the workflow executor resolves the action metadata from the app slug, loads the configured handler service, normalizes action parameters, and invokes the handler with the relevant entity ID and app ID.

This makes the workflow engine a bridge between core PIM events and connected systems. Product, category, order, customer, brand, property, and property-group events can all be routed into app modules that expose supported workflow actions.
